Had trouble getting started today at the “stitch (or sketch) and b___h” get together. My fellow sketcher’s advice was to “start small, draw the candles.” It was good advice. The candles were on a remarkable, intricate and unusual tablecloth.
Thought I’d try mixing media — pencil, watercolour pencil, watercolour, more pencil… There is much yet to be mastered.
The bean pot is almost ready to get stored away until next December. This vintage West Bend appliance slow cooks to perfection. The reflections on the metal lid stumped me.
Although this is technically a white jug, depicting it requires many shades of gray. As with so many things in life, it is not as simple as black and white.
