Morning melon

I confess, I’m amazed—and relieved—that plenty of fruit still appears on our grocery shelves, in spite of the current global situation. I would be interested to know the path and the people involved in getting this Canary Melon from field to my cutting board.

  1. I’ve never eaten Canary melon that I remember.

The knife is really an interesting part of the sketch.

I have a cutting board that is somewhat similar.

    1. It’s a bit like honeydew. Very juicy.
That knife is fun to draw. IKEA purchase from about 30 years ago!
Cutting board has a heart cut-out. It’s a souvenir from a trip to Kamouraska, Quebec for a sketching workshop about 7 years ago. 🙂 it’s a gorgeous part of Canada.
