We got an espresso machine and now that I’ve got the hang of it, I’m enjoying an afternoon latte from time to time. And I found the perfect cup for it — a gift from my late mother-in-law. It’s very unusual (Picasso-esque handle) and very beautiful. I’m happy to be using it instead of just looking at it in the china cabinet. The wee saucer is just right to hold a piece of shortbread (the last of the season). I’m still learning how to do latte art.

Just lovely. I am about to have breakfast so it was very pleasant to open this now.
Quite the teacup + saucer! A good use for Picasso type art.
I want to take back my silly question about how long it took you to do that other sketch of the flowers.
I was thinking, yikes, you wanted to do it so delayed breakfast. But this morning, I wrote some words, (to some music I wrote before), for my nephew’s birthday.
Don’t know when I started but I was inspired + seized the moment. Of all people I should get how sketching for you can be the same….
For me, sometimes it is like the song writes itself, other times I have to work at it and every kind of experience in between those two. 🎵

Well, I was trying to think how long the sketch took, about an hour or so. That seems to be the limit to my attention span. 😆
I’m happy to know you are composing!
