Arrival of Spring – April 17

Impatient

I have some hyacinths in the garden, but not yet in bloom. When I saw this potted clump at the grocery store, I couldn’t resist. I also couldn’t resist sketching them, but trying to capture the character of these blooms was a challenge. But I did enjoy using the fresh blob of carbazole violet paint.

  1. I love the way you’ve captured the details of the flowers.

Interesting name for shade of violet paint…..named after the plant I presume?

So I am able to share your sketches with others at the site I just noticed. But also I realize I can forward this as it is generated by the site too.

My best friend already checked you out when I was talking to her about your Everyday Sketches posts. I didn’t give anything but that. She is a computer gal…..very savvy.
