My train was late coming in to Alexandria Station, so I had some time to sketch the vintage bench in the waiting area. The sketchbook is a small Moleskine (3.5 x 5 inches) that I keep in my handbag.

Hey, I didn’t even realize this was possible! Blog-to-blog, plus a bench to sit on that reminds me of a Quaker church (or whatever they sit on, if they sit, in a Quaker house of worship). Alexandria always reminds me of ancient Egypt and the poems of Cavafy: hard to reconcile with a small town in eastern Ontario.
